Abstract

The present study was focus on the parental attitudes toward education for their children. Parents, positive attitude towards child’s education is much important in process of determining schools attendance and academic achievement of the child. Therefore, the favorable attitudes towards schooling and education enhance parental entanglement in children’s present and upcoming studies. The main objective of the study was to examine the attitude of parents toward education in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir.  Method and design of the study was based on the secondary sources. Sample: The sample for the study was 100 respondents. Tools/ Materials for the study were questionnaire/ interview scheduled which was developed by the researcher.

Results and discussion-It was found from the result that (60.5%) of parents having positive attitudes toward schooling of their children’s education, Therefore (26) of parents having negative and (13.5%) neither positive nor negative
